Ad-Din Hospital's license revoked

The license of Ad-Din Hospital in the capital's Moghbazar has been revoked for negligence in the deaths of six children.


The Directorate General of Health Services made this decision on Thursday (June 11).


Six babies died at the Ad-Din Medical College Hospital. All of them were in the post-delivery ward. The hospital's Director General (Hospitals and Nursing) Professor Dr. Nahida Yasmin confirmed the information on Wednesday (May 27).


The father of one of the victims filed a case alleging "negligent death" in the incident. Several unidentified people have been named as accused in the case.


The incident shook the health ministry. Health Minister Sardar Md. Sakhawat Hossain also visited the hospital.
