The embassies of 29 European countries in the Schengen area in Dhaka have issued important instructions on visas. The instructions warn citizens not to stay in Schengen countries if their visas expire.

The warning was issued in a joint announcement on the verified Facebook pages of the embassies on Monday (May 4).

The joint statement said that staying in a Schengen country after the visa expires may result in a ban on entry to that country. Therefore, the statement urged citizens to comply with visa regulations to avoid future bans and refusals.

It is worth noting that the Schengen visa is a general visa that allows you to travel to 29 member countries of Europe for up to 90 days. On the other hand, the Schengen area consists of 27 European countries. A single visa allows you to travel to Schengen countries for short periods of time.
