Members of the Shriramsi United Organisation UK, a charitable and non-political organisation formed by expatriates from the historic village of Shriramsi, gathered in London for their annual general meeting.
 

The meeting was held at Amar Gaon Restaurant in Brick Lane and was attended by a large number of members from different parts of the UK. Participants reviewed the organisation's past activities and discussed future plans aimed at supporting the development and welfare of Shriramsi village.


Founded in 2016, the organisation has been involved in a range of humanitarian initiatives, including distributing food and Eid essentials to underprivileged families during Ramadan and providing financial assistance to local schools, colleges and madrasas in the village.

Speakers at the meeting said that, despite living far from their homeland, members remain deeply connected to their roots and committed to serving their community. They pledged to continue and expand the organisation's charitable work for the benefit of Shriramsi village.

The meeting was chaired by board member Suhel Ahmed and began with a recitation from the Holy Quran by Md Mahi Hossain.

Among those who addressed the gathering were treasurer Belal Miah, Askor Uddin (Dulu), Mahbub Hossain, Belal Uddin (Mithu), Suyaibur Rahman, Joynal Hossain, Shibul Miah, Babru Miah, Ali Askor, Liton Miah, Nazmul Islam, Abul Kashem, Gulzar Ahmed, Kutub Uddin, Ripon Miah, Suweb Ahmed, Ishrak Uddin, Aminur Rahman, Ujjal Miah and Masum Miah.

At the end of the meeting, organisers thanked all participants and reaffirmed their commitment to the social and economic development of Shriramsi village.
